If the manufacturer can’t fix the problem or changing the audio settings didn’t work, you’ll need to use a different device to watch Netflix.

Restart your TV, reset your modem and router, and reset or restart the device using which you are streaming Netflix. If this does not work, disconnect your modem and router for 30 seconds.

The issue will fix itself after you change the surround sound to something other than 5.1 Dolby Digital in the audio settings of your device. Try using a non-5.1 audio selection.

If the audio stream does not work, we recommend that you test it on a Netflix movie or TV show. In order to determine whether the problem is with the original/initial title you selected, you will have to randomly pick another Netflix title on the platform.

These errors are mainly caused by a bug in the ad blocker app or extension. However, they may also be caused by specific browsers or operating systems; Microsoft Edge and Windows users are particularly susceptible.

There are several factors that may contribute to Netflix’s ability to play sound without any issue:

It sounds like they’re all mumbling and if the volume is turned up, the background noise is too loud. Could a setting change be necessary? I have tried changing the sound settings on the TV but it doesn’t work.

In most cases, this problem is caused by a temporary glitch or error on your device. Server problems and misconfigured devices can also cause this problem.

In some cases, the reason for the lack of sound may be the sound drivers installed on your system. Also, if there is not enough memory space for Netflix, this can cause a problem because resources are being used by unused browser tabs.

This is important information directly from Netflix:
If the movie or TV show you are watching has 5.1 Dolby available, make sure this option is selected within the Audio & Subtitles menu during playback.
Please note that not every episode or season of a 5.1 supported TV show may have 5.1 available.
However, it is supported in the Netflix app for Windows 8 and Windows 10.
To check if your device supports 5.1 audio, go to any Netflix original to see if there is a 5.1 audio option.
If not, your device may not support this feature, or it may need to be turned on.

To resolve the 5.1 audio issues, try to switch to stereo as an alternative to 5.1 audio if you are still having trouble.
