HyperX Pulsefire FPS Pro

HyperX FPS Pro

As the name suggests, the HyperX Pulsefire FPS Pro is a massive contender in the mice industry, and it has good reason to. The HyperX Pulsefire is a solid mouse for all FPS games. It has an ergonomic design, and it has been designed with comfort in mind.

Into some more specific details, the Pulsefire includes a Pixart 3389 sensor that can achieve maximum sensitivity of 16000dpi. Along with this, the HyperX Pulsefire has 6 Omron programmable switches and a single RGB lighting zone, that can all be configured in the HyperX controller software. More information can be found in the manuals for the mouse when you buy it - at the time of writing, it’s the NGenuity software.

Onto the aesthetics of the mouse, as mentioned above, this mouse has been designed with comfort and functionality in mind. With this being said, it has two rubber grips on either side, which allows for precise movement when in use in fast-paced scenarios. The RGB lighting is in the mouse wheel as well as the logo at the back and can be any color you like using the 16.8 million color spectrum. Overall, the look the mouse is sleek, modern, and well designed to fit any palm.

All in all, the HyperX Pulsefire is one of the best mice if you’re looking for a sleek, affordable, and well-rounded practical FPS mouse, then this one may be for you. Razer Basilisk

Razer Basilisk

Arguably one of the market leaders in gaming accessories, Razer, has released a new and improved mouse called the Razer Basilisk.

The Basilisk is renowned for its shape and functionality. As you can tell, the Basilisk has a very ergonomic shape along with its thumb rest. The grip is a reliable, firm, but soft to touch, so you’ll get a great experience when you feel the mouse. Along with this, there are several programmable buttons on the mouse, including a DPI clutch, which is common in several other Razer mice.

The Basilisk incorporates a 16,000 DPI PWM3389 sensor, which is supposedly ‘Gaming-Optimised’; however, it is an excellent mouse to use in general, but specifically for gaming. The Razer warranty states that it has 50 million clicks, however in the several Razer products we’ve owned, we’re almost 100% confident we’ve had more than 50,000,000 clicks on most of the mice, what can we say - we like games.

Overall, the Razer Basilisk is an excellent mouse without any significant flaws. You may catch your little finger when sliding fast to the right, but apart from that - the mouse is excellent overall in both functionality as well as looks making the Basilisk a great contender in this list.

Corsair IronClaw RGB

Corsair IronClaw RGB

Another huge market-leader in gaming-specific components and accessories, Corsair has released the IronClaw, an RGB FPS/Gaming mouse.

The Corsair IronClaw features a very angular design with excellent grip and a few programmable buttons to allow for maximum functionality. The left side of the mouse features a large rubber grip with several comfortable points, to rest your thumb on, which again is slightly raised to keep your thumb from rubbing your mouse mat. The ergonomic lines on the mouse allow any size hand to fit, which is excellent if you are a palm-based player. The mouse also includes two RGB zones that can be programmed in the Corsair utility software app.

Getting into a few more technicalities, the IronClaw features an advanced Corsair sensor that allows an up to 18,000 DPI that can be adjusted with increments of one, which allows you to pinpoint your perfect DPI setting. This is something unique to newer releases of Corsair products. The mouse also includes seven programmable buttons that allow for multiple configurations of your mouse. As with some other mice on this list, it also has durable Omron switched, which are recommended to last for 50,000,000 clicks.

Because of this, the Corsair IronClaw is rated very high on our list as it’s an excellent mouse for all levels or users. With its sleek aesthetic design, textured side grips, and lightweights, the Corsair IronClaw is a great mouse and should be considered when you come to buy your FPS mouse.

Corsair Nightsword RGB

Corsair Nightsword RGB

Another Corsair product, the Corsair Nightsword (RGB), is another great contender in the FPS mice industry. This mouse is highly effective and has a very attractive design. Something that sets the Corsair Nightsword apart from other mice is the contoured grip around the whole mouse. Although not as comfortable as the rubber grip, the top of the mouse has a plastic surface that has several pours to help with grip and can help if you get sweaty hands when playing high-intensity games. The mouse, as mentioned, also has a high thumb grip that sits on the right side to stop your thumb rubbing against the mouse mat. The Nightsword also has a sweet RGB zone at the rear and side that again can be controlled in the iCue software.

Into some more technical details on the Nightsword, it features a Pixart PMW3391, which has been designed specifically for fast-paced gaming and brings 18,000DPI to the table. Along with this, as with other new Corsair mice, the DPI can be configured in increments of 1DPI, which again, other mice don’t attempt to accomplish.

Overall, the Corsair Nightsword is a great mouse and again, shouldn’t be overlooked when you consider these mice. With its overall excellent performance and aesthetically pleasing design but relatively high price tag - this mouse is one to look at.

Logitech G502 HERO

Logitech G502 Hero

Large peripheral provider, Logitech has created the G502 HERO. This mouse is the ideal mouse if you want a nice looking mouse with an equally good performance. The G502 HERO is one of the products that has many features and is the same/similar price as others.

The aesthetics of the G502 is designed to look very high-tech, which is not a bad thing, and it has plenty of corners. The Logitech G502 is with many other Logitech products that have the Logitech Blue colors in the logo and 3 lines on the right side. Overall, the design is very high tech and should not be overlooked if you’re looking for a nice looking mouse. Saying this, the mouse is very narrow, so if you have excessively large hands, this one might not be for you.

Unlike others, the G502 has 11 programmable buttons that sit all over the mouse for great convenience, with all the mouse being covered in buttons! Technically, the mouse has a HERO 16,000 DPI sensor, which has been designed specifically for gaming with incredible accuracy when using in-game. Along with programmable buttons, in the Logitech software, you can also specify profiles for the mouse. This means that if you play several FPS games but prefer a different sensitivity or button settings per game - you can specify which profile you want to ensure that you are always at the top of your game.

Overall, the Logitech G502 Hero is one of the more programmable mice on this list, and although it’s a little more expensive than others on this list, it should definitely be one to consider when you buy a mouse.
